Overview

The ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System is a globally recognized certification that ensures food safety throughout the entire food chain. It is based on the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system and provides a framework for organizations to identify and control food safety hazards. It also helps companies to identify areas of improvement, measure their performance, and ensure that food safety is maintained. The standard covers all activities related to food safety, from farm to fork, including areas such as raw material sourcing, production, processing, distribution, storage, and handling. It also promotes the use of risk-based approaches to food safety and provides guidance on how to prevent food safety incidents. ISO 22000:2018 is applicable to all organizations involved in any aspect of the food chain, regardless of size or sector.

Objective

Participants will gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of management, personnel, and third-party certification bodies when implementing an FSMS, as well as the importance of continual improvement and risk assessment. The course also covers the processes, procedures, and documentation requirements for developing, implementing, and maintaining an FSMS. Upon completion, participants will be able to recognize the importance of a Food Safety Management System and its impact on food safety, as well as understand the roles and responsibilities of personnel in the development and implementation of an FSMS
