ISO 45001:2018 OHSMS Awareness

Overview

ISO 45001 is an International Standard to improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks and create better, safer working conditions, all over the world. It is applicable to all organizations, regardless of size, industry or nature of business and is designed to be integrated into an organization’s existing management processes and follows the same high-level structure as other ISO management system standards, such as ISO 9001:2015 (quality management) and ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management). ISO 45001 adopts a risk-based approach that ensures it is effective and undergoes continual improvement to meet an organization’s ever-changing context.

Objective

1. To introduce ISO background
2. To introduce ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System principles as well as terms and definitions used
3. To introduce and help understand ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System requirements
4. To help participants understand and involve in using Occupational Health and Safety Management System to consistently identify and control its health and safety risks, reduce the potential for accidents, aid legislative compliance and improve overall performance.
