Overview

Distribution is an important activity in the integrated supply-chain management. With the globalization of pharmaceutical industry, various people and entities are generally responsible for handling, storage and distribution of pharmaceutical items. The Good Storage and Distribution Practice is developed to elucidate the requirements for an appropriate management and control of these activities.

Objective

  • To introduce Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and its relevance with Dangerous Drug Act 1952, Poisons Act 1952, Poisons and the Control of Drugs and Cosmetics Regulations 1984.
  • To introduce GDP requirements.
  • To equip participants with knowledge to establish and implement GDP.
