Emergency Response & Preparedness Plan

Overview

Emergencies such as fires, chemical spills, explosions, medical incidents and natural disasters can occur unexpectedly in any workplace. An effective Emergency Response & Preparedness Plan (ERP) enables organizations to protect lives, minimize property damage, comply with legal requirements, and ensure business continuity.

This one-day practical training provides participants with the knowledge and skills to establish, implement and maintain an effective Emergency Response & Preparedness Plan in accordance with Malaysian legal requirements, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Participants will learn how to identify emergency scenarios, develop response procedures, establish Emergency Response Teams (ERT), conduct emergency drills, and continually improve emergency preparedness through monitoring and review.

• Interpret Malaysian legal requirements and ISO requirements relating to emergency preparedness.
• Identify potential workplace emergency situations and applicable emergency controls.
• Develop an effective Emergency Response & Preparedness Plan (ERP).
• Understand the structure, roles and responsibilities of an Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• Implement effective emergency communication and evacuation procedures.
• Evaluate emergency drills and implement continual improvement actions.
