Internal audits provide information on whether the QMS conforms to the organization’s own requirements and the requirements of ISO 9001:2026, and whether it is effectively implemented and maintained.

This practical training provides participants with the knowledge and skills to plan, conduct, report and follow up an internal QMS audit. Participants will learn how to gather objective evidence, evaluate conformity, report audit findings and support effective correction and corrective action.

• Apply internal auditing as a tool to monitor and support an effective QMS
• Plan an audit program based on process importance, organizational changes and previous audit results
• Define audit objectives, scope and criteria
• Understand auditor selection, objectivity, impartiality and the documented information required for the audit program and audit results
• Prepare an audit plan and relevant audit questions
• Gather and evaluate objective evidence through interviews, observation and review of information
• Write clear, evidence-based audit findings
• Conduct opening and closing meetings and prepare an audit report
• Follow up audit findings and check whether the agreed actions have been completed and are working as intended

Participants should have a basic understanding of ISO 9001 requirements. Those who are new to the standard are encouraged to attend ISO 9001:2026 QMS Awareness training first or have equivalent knowledge.
